For years now, ZN has been analyzing the top influencers in EU affairs in Brussels and beyond. What started as a small event in the IPC building by the Berlaymont, has become today a cornerstone of the European affairs yearly agenda with ever better analyses, talks, rankings and knowledge.
For this, I sincerely congratulate Philip Weiss and his team for their dedication and intelligence. Particularly, this year the rankings included LinkedIn which has entered the information / influence game for institutional affairs like a rocket, sparking a debate on the influence and attention retention of other platforms (namely X, Instagram and TikTok) in what is called the #Eurobubble, a term I’m using for lack of an equally recognised alternative, but that I yet find limiting.
I am extremely surprised to read I’m in the Top 3 as a Linkedin influencer, within a vast and competitive range of experts, even though I have been praising the added value, the format, the register of this platform for years.
Therefore, I hope the content I put out is valuable and that I can use this following and network to promote evidence-based policy making in digital technology, and science for the benefit of European citizens, in particular the work of the European Commission and EU Science, Research and Innovation. This is a passion I have been nurturing for 20 years and I hope I’ll be able to continue do so effectively and modernly.
