Marco Ricorda is an international communication expert, analyst and blogger with over 15 years experience in international affairs, international organizations, politics and large events. He helps international organizations and institutions maximize their strategic communication, visibility, outreach, strategy and advocacy activity.

Today he works in communication for the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in the Mediterranean. He previously served as Member of Cabinet for the President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani, Head of Social Media of the ALDE Group and Guy Verhofstadt, Social Media Manager of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission,  Digital Strategist for the European Union at Expo Milano 2015, Social Media Analyst at the Directorate General for Communication of the European Commission and Press Officer at Bruegel, the Brussels-based think tank for international economic policy.

He has been nominated #EUInfluencers five times. He is a mentor at the Politico EU Studies Fair. He has been quoted in numerous international outlets and he is a frequent public speaker and moderator.

In his previous life he used to be a competitive fitness athlete and he remains passionate about rugby, bodybuilding and water sports. He used to be a brand ambassador for the sports clothing brand Gunsmith Fitness and volunteered at Terzo Tempo Association, an organization intended to raise-awareness about contact sports-related injuries.
